There are days. There are always days when the only thing keeping me from falling asleep in my glass of wine is the thrill of the adventure and the upbeat thump of Pitt Bull in my ear buds. And the only things keeping me from dropping my too-heavy camera bag as I slog through the airport at oh-dark-thirty are the fully caffeinated beverages that pepper my life. Between the coffee and the excitement of ever-shifting landscapes and backdrops and moments on the journey, I grab rare minutes of quiet, time to reflect, seconds to ponder. Yes, this is my life. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. And so for those fellow photographers on the brink of exhaustion, who can barely make it from one cup of java to the next, who are envious of the boundless energy of youth, be bolstered by believing that it may not always be easy, but it’s always worth it. I promise.
