Daedalian award ceremony

Every now and then I get to attend things as a spouse, but it’s hard to keep the photographer in me down…so in support of my husband and the achievements of his group, I snapped a few photos at this pretty important ceremony – a landmark moment for Moody AFB and the Maintenance Group. So, congrats 23 MXG, 2011 Daedalian winners (best maintenance group in the Air Force). Here are some key moments from the 1000 plus crowd, including several retired aviators attending as members of the Order of Daedalians, that brought energy to the award ceremony. Hoorah ; )

20 photos that showcase the best of Ocean Beach over 3 days. Of course there’s more but mostly it was sunrise, sushi, sunset, repeat. I wouldn’t say OB was my favorite beach but the fish tacos were amazing at Blue Water Seafood, the gelato tasting menu at An’s Electronics Repair was repeatable and novel, the Sushi at the newly opened Nagisa Sushi was ahMAYzing, and the beach was long enough for a 2.5 mile round trip trek with the perfect sunset view. So yeah it was a little dingy, a lot grungy, and definitely boho, but that’s just kind of what it is. And …. Ocean. So. Oh and we did visit Old Town for some incredible fresh off the griddle tortillas and even brought some home with us. Yum. #oceanbeach #ob #sandiego #oceanbeachsandiego #fishtacos
