Shy, sweet Faith is a very special client. Her aunt contacted me and said she wanted to do something special for Faith for her birthday, and thought a photo session would be perfect. She warned me that it would be challenging, that Faith was special but also very shy, quiet, and easily overwhelmed. In fact, we just planned to tell her we were taking a walk in the park with her aunt’s friend who was bringing her camera. And that’s exactly what we did. Light was essential to this session as I was not able to bring off camera light with me, knowing it could intimidate Faith. This was a session of finding moments, treading softly, walking and cajoling a bit, conversing and negotiating a little as well. In the end, Faith’s personality shone through.
