it’s pretty darn spectacular to be living someplace (the first someplace in several years) where it really feels like fall might not be just a wish and a hope but a reality. The mornings are getting crisp and cool and call for coffee drunk out of doors (to borrow a phrase from Jane Austen) as the sun rises over the mountains. The evenings are born on breezes that demand open windows and air conditioning in the off position. I decided to usher it in just a little faster with some flowers in eye catching colors for my front porch and a mini pumpkin. Hooray!
