This gorgeous baby boy was born to a most loving mom and dad (see their maternity sessions here and here) and they opted to have their newborn photos done in their home! It was a beautiful apartment with nice wood floors and all we had to do was move the couch a little bit to get at a very natural setting for the newborn photos. Mom chose a blue and teal theme for the baby and I brought the wraps, and bowl, and fuzzy blankets. Baby Evan slept like a champ through the whole session, even for a clothing change and family photos. Grandma was visiting from Brazil which was very special and it was great to get her in on the newborn photos too. I love when the extended family visits and we can get the multi generational images.
I love photographing newborns in the home as it’s a much more relaxed and natural environment and allows for everyone to be more comfortable, most importantly baby!
If you are getting ready to have a baby or just had a baby, now is the time to book newborn photos! Baby Evan was only 4 days old in these and weighed in just over 6 lbs! The tinier they are, the better!
