This Benson High School Senior session was awesome in the spring and had some great open fields and trees and also the train station with the static train available. It was a sunset session so we got some great golden light and also I was able to work with the dramatic sunset light that showed up in geometric patterns across the train car. Logan was definitely dressed to impress in his blue shirt that almost exactly matched the color of his eyes. He also wanted to be sure to wear his Letter Jacket for some of the photos. I especially love the one of him in his jacket where I used my Profoto light to create something a little more artistic!
I love that I was able to capture both “nature” and “train tracks” for this session. The static car was this great orange color that worked well with his navy jacket. I also loved the golden color of the grass and how it lit up in the sun.
Benson high school senior sessions are fun because they get me a little farther away than Tucson and I get a whole new environment to play with! It’s worth the drive to be able to use unique and interesting locations. This field was literally a pull off on the side of the road! You would never know it from the photos! I love making something special out of something you might otherwise drive by every day and never notice. This is part of what I love about being a photographer!
