I love the green space and natural lighting on the Washington DC Mall in Washington DC and when I had the chance to photograph a long time client, and now friend, Kate and her family in their new home in the DC area, I jumped at the opportunity! I love love love Washington DC and grew up going there as a child for class trips. I have had many friends who lived there over the years and go as often as I can. I even had the chance to do a wedding there a few years ago! I love our Nation’s capitol for all the historic and monumental moments it still honors. How cool to be able to do a photo session at the Lincoln Memorial and along the National Mall? Meeting in the morning ensured we didn’t have as many people in the background and the weather was fantastic.
