Tucson Family Photos at Sunset are among my most requested sessions, and luckily the Tucson sunsets are epic and there are no shortages of locations we can choose from. This particular family chose one of our more beautiful Saguaro-rich locations where the Saguaros are large and in charge, and the sun peeks just right to light up the scene at sunset. What I love about these Tucson family photos at sunset is that the grandparents were included. So not only did I get great family photos of mom, dad and the 3 boys, but I was able to get a full family photo with the grandparents and one of them as a couple as well! I always love to include smaller groups and individual photos of the kiddos when I do family photo sessions, even with extended families. Sometimes it’s been a long time since the family has had photos, of themselves as a group, but also of the couples, or the kiddos.
I also love the color scheme this family brought for their Tucson family photos at sunset. The soft greens and browns and blues blended so well to make the perfect choice against the desert green and gold palette. You’ll also notice some of the family is wearing green! I do sometimes get asked if green is a good color for the desert since so much of the desert is green. But as you can see here, when green is blended with other colors it not only works but works great! Not sure how to plan your colors? Tucson family photos at sunset are definitely my favorite to photograph. Don’t get me wrong – the sunrise is beautiful too! But not everyone wants to brave the early morning – especially as the temps start to drop in the fall and winter. I love it, but I equally love the sunset time frame when the desert shows off its best.
