I have photographed Veronica every year since she was 9 months old and I swear I love every session more than the year before. The cool thing is being able to see the changes, year to year as she grows, but also see the consistencies in her soul, which is funny, vibrant, a little mischievous, and very wise beyond her years. Below are a few of the sessions that I have blogged. This year the weather wasn’t fabulous but the location where we did the photos made up for it. The quality of light made everything just a little soft, and having my Profoto light with me helped balance the dark with the light. I also used my 70-200 lens to create some amazing compression with the surrounding rock walls and a historic barn in the distance. Then I spent a few minutes editing them to emulate film, and voila.
