Wallflower’s Fini Flight

I had the honor and privilege of photographing the Wielhouwer family with the A-10 (more to come on those fab images!) and then their “fini flight” as well – which was amazing!! I love getting glimpses into the traditions and love surrounding families who serve our country. And the “fini flight” is a tradition I have photographed only twice. Doused in water, champagne and history, the A-10 and the men and women who fly them, are a huge part of the Air Force family and fight, and when someone retires from the plane, the “fini flight” is just one way to celebrate the dedication, hard work, and even blood, sweat and tears that went into the years spent in the sky.
