Family reunion photography is the best way to celebrate when families plan to get together at one location for the first time in forever! Hiring a professional photographer to capture the moments will help you remember these forever. This huge family came from all over the country to visit their mom and dad over Christmas. Five adult children and their families and me – we all converged at a location that was very special to them for some beautiful family photos.
Whenever I photograph large families or do family reunion photography, I am always making sure to get multiple poses of the large family group, but then I also love working with the smaller family groups to get additional photos of their individual family units, to include the kiddos, alone and together, and the couple because it’s probably been a long time since they had a portrait together (maybe even since they were married).
When families make time to travel long distances to be together in a beautiful location, I can be that person who captures those memories. I do a phone consultation with as many of the families that want to be on the call to plan for clothing, finalize time and location, and get to know what they’re looking for. This guarantees success for family reunion photography but also makes sure everyone is on the same page.
