Sophie & Roelof: Engaged in Utrecht, Holland

I never imagined I’d have the opportunity to photograph an international wedding so soon after deciding it was necessary to re-frame my approach to photography to a national and international market (versus just a local one). The timing was fantastic! And seriously, this couple appreciates photography for the art form that it is and holds it at a level of importance that allows me to have both creative freedom and artistic input. In short, Sophie and Roleof are a photographer’s dream come true. And an added bonus, in case you hadn’t noticed, they’re beautiful!

Interestingly, their story is also special in that they are getting married in Utrecht, Holland and then, less than a week later, flying to Connecticut to get married in the US as well, so that their families on both sides of the world can share their joy. I have the great privilege of being able to capture both weddings, a uniquely wonderful opportunity!
