This Mt Lemmon Windy Point maternity session was caught on one of our rare Tucson summer gloomy days where the skies threaten to open up at any moment, sunset barely peeks out from the cloud layers, and the drama is evident in every image. It’s days like these that I am grateful that I have wonderful off camera lighting that allows for illuminating moments. Also I totally love sky drama, as I think it adds to these kinds of sessions (impending adventure much?) and didn’t her Sew Trendy Accessories maternity dress match the sky perfectly? Give me alllll the shades of blue….also perfect since she was having a boy!
If there is anything I have learned when prepping couples for their maternity sessions it’s to advise that everyone wear comfortable shoes! Especially Windy Point maternity sessions since there’s a lot of walking over uneven surfaces. But all that trekking makes for delightful backdrops and is SO worth the effort. I also have a fun secret little wooded path that worked out great as well! It’s nearby so it’s easy to do both! But be prepared for a drive when doing a Windy Point Maternity Session – and for dodging lots of people. Especially in the summer when people try to escape the heat at higher elevations.
