The family session I did with the H family in Pennsylvania on my recent trip there was so much fun. The boys were delightful and so willing to smile. The setting, one of my favorites, was green, vibrant, and juuussst a little humid. But it was awesome.
As I travel the country, I look for locations that speak to the area. And Pennsylvania, in the summer, is exactly as pictured – so different than the desert environs. And the quality of light is different, too. The light is filtered through the trees, and through the water that is more present in the air, and creates a hazy effect that I miss. The color green is more saturated, and much deeper than the desert, which trends towards sage. I didn’t appreciate it as much growing up, but now, having lived in so many different places, I love going back and looking at things through different eyes.
